At the beginning of December, MeOut Group hosted the kick-off meeting of the Youth Innovation Journey at its office in Budapest, officially launching an international initiative dedicated to youth innovation and entrepreneurship development. The meeting marked the first milestone of a project that aims to empower young people aged 16-30 to explore, develop, and present innovative ideas within a structured and supportive framework.
The kick-off brought together the core project partners to align on objectives, roles, and the shared vision behind integrating a Youth Category into one of the world’s largest innovation awards.
The Youth Innovation Journey is designed to create a clear and accessible innovation pathway for young innovators, combining practical skill development, professional mentoring, and international visibility. Through this initiative, young people are supported in transforming early-stage ideas into mature concepts and gaining confidence to present them on a European innovation stage.
By introducing a dedicated Youth Category within a global innovation award, the project bridges education, entrepreneurship, and real-world innovation ecosystems, ensuring that young talent is not only encouraged but meaningfully integrated into Europe’s innovation landscape.
The project is coordinated by MeOut Group and implemented in close cooperation with DevelopMe, EU-Startups, Stichting Euromove, and XO Association - Global Startup Awards. Together, the partners bring expertise from education, innovation ecosystems, startup development, and international collaboration, creating a safe and inspiring environment for young people to learn, experiment, and connect.
The Youth Innovation Journey places a strong emphasis on inclusion, confidence-building, and cross-border collaboration, ensuring that participants can grow within a trusted network of mentors, peers, and innovation professionals.
The kick-off meeting in Budapest laid the foundation for the upcoming activities of the Youth Innovation Journey, setting the stage for training, mentoring, and pitching opportunities that will support the next generation of European innovators.
This project is co-funded by the European Union.
