Between 9-12 March 2026, a study visit of tutors and VET educators took place in Miercurea Ciuc (Csíkszereda), Romania, bringing together professionals involved in vocational education and training (VET) to exchange knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and enhance the quality of long-term ErasmusPro mobilities.
The visit was organised within the framework of two complementary Erasmus+ cooperation projects: AVETE (Alliance for VET Excellence: Advancing ErasmusPro Mobilities) and EASI (Enhancing Assessment Skills of In-company Tutors Hosting International Students for Improved Work-based Learning Evaluation).
This way, these initiatives aim to improve both the structure and quality of international mobility programmes and the competencies of the professionals supporting them.
The AVETE project focuses on the development and enhancement of ErasmusPro mobilities, with particular attention to improving their quality, accessibility, and long-term impact for learners and institutions.
In parallel, the EASI project addresses the need to strengthen the skills of professionals involved in mobility programmes, including tutors, mentors, and in-company trainers. By focusing on assessment skills in work-based learning, the project contributes to more effective evaluation processes and better learning outcomes for participants.
Together, both projects play a key role in advancing work-based learning in Europe, supporting the development of high-quality, structured, and impactful international VET mobility experiences.

By connecting institutions, educators, and industry actors, initiatives like AVETE and EASI contribute to building more resilient, innovative, and learner-centred education systems.
Through continued cooperation, knowledge exchange, and capacity building, such projects support the development of high-quality international mobility programmes that enhance employability, skills development, and cross-cultural understanding.
