At the end of January 2026, MeOut Group will officially launch the BIO-VET: Biodynamic Innovation in Vocational Education and Training project with a kick-off meeting in Accra, Ghana, taking place from 28–31 January 2026. Funded by the European Commission, the project brings together partners from Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Hungary, and Romania to strengthen agricultural vocational education and training (VET) through innovation, sustainability, and international cooperation.
The kick-off meeting will mark the start of a multi-year collaboration focused on aligning agricultural skills development with climate action, food security, and biodiversity conservation in West Africa.
The BIO-VET project addresses growing skills mismatches in agricultural education, as well as pressing challenges related to climate change, soil degradation, and food system resilience. By integrating biodynamic agriculture into VET systems, the project introduces a regenerative farming approach that improves soil health, enhances biodiversity, and supports long-term sustainability.
Aligned with the EU Green Deal objectives, BIO-VET aims to increase the quality, relevance, and innovation capacity of agricultural VET, while strengthening awareness of vocational education as a key driver of climate-smart agriculture and sustainable rural development.
The BIO-VET kick-off meeting in Accra will bring together project partners, VET institutions, and stakeholders to align on objectives, governance structures, and implementation priorities. This first in-person milestone will establish a shared vision for embedding biodynamic practices in vocational training and reinforcing EU-Africa education cooperation.
The project consortium is composed of chambers of commerce and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions from the partner countries, ensuring a strong link between education systems, labour-market needs, and the agricultural sector. This multi-actor partnership model enables BIO-VET to connect policy, training, and industry perspectives from the very beginning of the project.
The meeting will also define the roadmap for upcoming activities, ensuring that project actions respond directly to local labour-market needs and regional sustainability challenges.
BIO-VET will develop a tailored training programme that aligns vocational competencies with global sustainability goals and emerging agricultural practices.
The project places strong emphasis on capacity building, supporting VET educators and learners, including women and disadvantaged groups, with updated knowledge, skills, and methodologies.
Planned activities include the establishment of biodynamic learning farms, agricultural skills competitions, and hands-on learning environments that connect theory with real-world practice.
As project coordinator, MeOut Group leads the implementation of BIO-VET, contributing its expertise in international education projects, innovation-driven VET development, and EU-Africa cooperation. The project reflects MeOut Group’s ongoing commitment to using education and innovation as tools for sustainable social and economic transformation.
