HSUP Demo Day 2025 showcases the next generation of young innovators in Hungary

MeOut Group attended the HSUP Demo Day 2025 in Budapest

On December 16th, 2025, MeOut Group was invited to attend the HSUP Demo Day 2025, organised by the Hungarian Startup University Program (HSUP) and supported by the Nemzeti Innovációs Ügynökség (National Innovation Agency). The event brought together students, educators, startup mentors, and innovation stakeholders to celebrate youth entrepreneurship and early-stage innovation in Hungary.

The Demo Day marked the culmination of an intensive learning journey, where high school students presented their startup ideas in front of a professional jury and potential investors, demonstrating how education-driven innovation can translate into real-world entrepreneurial projects.

HSUP BASE: Introducing entrepreneurship at an early age

At the heart of the event was HSUP BASE, an innovation and entrepreneurship programme for high school students developed by the National Innovation Agency. The programme is designed to help young people transform innovative ideas into structured startup concepts using an entrepreneurial mindset.

Over a four-month period, participants worked on:

  • Market research and idea validation

  • Business and financial planning

  • Prototype development

  • Leadership and entrepreneurial skills

With the guidance of experienced mentors and startup professionals, students gained first-hand insight into how the startup ecosystem operates, while building practical competences that extend beyond traditional classroom learning.

Demo Day as a gateway to the startup ecosystem

The HSUP Demo Day 2025 provided participants with the opportunity to pitch their projects publicly, receive professional feedback, and connect with investors and innovation experts. For many students, this represented their first direct interaction with the entrepreneurial world, opening doors to new networks, inspiration, and future development paths.

The pilot phase of HSUP BASE initially selected participants from finalist projects of the National Science and Innovation Olympiad. Going forward, the programme aims to become more widely accessible to young people aged 14–19, strengthening Hungary’s pipeline of future innovators and entrepreneurs.

Strengthening the future of innovation through education

By combining education, mentorship, and real startup experiences, HSUP BASE plays a key role in nurturing the next generation of innovators. The programme’s long-term goal is to build a strong domestic entrepreneurial culture, encouraging young people to take confident first steps toward innovation-driven careers.

For MeOut Group, participating in events like the HSUP Demo Day 2025 aligns closely with our mission to support innovation, education, and entrepreneurial capacity building, and to contribute to ecosystems where young talent can thrive.
