VETXchange

VETXchange is an international Erasmus+ Vocational Education and Training (VET) cooperation project that strengthens global partnerships and enhances the quality, mobility, and internationalisation of VET between Europe and the Philippines. The initiative brings together VET institutions, educators, policymakers, and industry partners to build sustainable collaboration, share best practices, and create opportunities for learners and professionals in a connected VET ecosystem.

The project is implemented by a multilateral partnership including organisations from Hungary, Belgium, Greece, and the Philippines, working together to address shared workforce challenges, promote knowledge exchange, and foster international cooperation in vocational training.

Objectives

VETXchange’s overall objectives include:

• Promoting international cooperation and mobility between European and Philippine VET stakeholders to improve skills development and access to quality training opportunities.
• Strengthening institutional capacity by facilitating study visits, job shadowing, workshops, and stakeholder summits that enhance organisational competences and collaborative practices.
• Aligning VET systems and labour market needs across regions to better recognise qualifications, support skills matching, and address shortages of skilled professionals.
• Encouraging mutual learning and good practice exchange through cross-continental dialogues among educators, industry representatives, and decision-makers.
• Fostering long-term partnerships that extend beyond the project’s lifetime and contribute to a more adaptable, inclusive, and internationally connected VET landscape.

The VETXchange project has received funding from the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme. Together, we are expanding opportunities for learners and professionals, building bridges across continents and contributing to a more innovative and collaborative vocational education and training community.
