PRO-S - Promoting Sustainability and Innovation in Agricultural TVET Through Cross-sectoral Cooperation is an Erasmus+ Capacity Building in the field of Vocational Education and Training (CB-VET) project funded by the European Union. It focuses on strengthening agricultural Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) by building capacities, fostering innovation, and enhancing collaboration between education providers, businesses, and policy actors to better address sustainability challenges and labour-market needs in agriculture.

The project brings together a multilateral partnership from Europe and Africa, including institutions and organisations from Hungary, Kenya, Namibia, Rwanda, Poland, and Slovakia, to advance sustainable agricultural practices and future-ready skills through shared learning, cross-sector cooperation, and structured capacity-building activities.

Objectives

PRO-S’s overall objectives include:

  • Strengthening agricultural TVET systems by enhancing institutional capacity, modernising curricula and teaching practices, and integrating sustainability-oriented competencies into vocational training.
  • Fostering cross-sectoral collaboration among schools, employers, public authorities, and sector stakeholders to bridge gaps between education and the evolving needs of the agricultural labour market.
  • Improving trainers’ and educators’ skills through training, knowledge exchange, and development of innovative learning materials to elevate the quality of instruction and mentoring.
  • Promoting international cooperation and mobility between Europe and Africa to share experiences, best practices, and innovation in sustainable agricultural education.
  • Supporting sustainability, innovation, and green transition by equipping learners and TVET staff with competencies needed for climate-resilient agricultural systems and environmentally sound practices.

The PRO-S project is funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme. Through collaborative innovation and skills development, it contributes to a more resilient, inclusive, and future-oriented agricultural education landscape that prepares learners and institutions to respond effectively to sustainability challenges while fostering long-term economic and social growth.
