AVETE - Alliance for VET Excellence: Advancing ErasmusPro Mobilities

AVETE - Alliance for VET Excellence: Advancing ErasmusPro Mobilities is an Erasmus+ funded project that aims to strengthen vocational education and training (VET) systems across Europe by improving the quality, accessibility, and impact of long-term international mobility opportunities. The project focuses on supporting VET providers, learners, and stakeholders in creating more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable ErasmusPro mobility experiences.

The project brings together a diverse partnership of organisations, VET institutions, public authorities, and industry stakeholders from across Europe to promote excellence in vocational education through international cooperation and knowledge exchange. AVETE seeks to enhance the capacity of organisations involved in ErasmusPro mobilities while fostering stronger connections between education, labour market needs, sustainability, and innovation.

Through collaborative activities, research, training initiatives, and the sharing of best practices, AVETE contributes to the modernization and internationalisation of VET systems. The project also supports the development of learner-centred approaches and practical solutions that help young people gain valuable international experience, professional competences, and intercultural skills.

Objectives

AVETE’s overall objectives include:

• Strengthening the quality and effectiveness of ErasmusPro mobility programmes within vocational education and training.
• Supporting VET providers and stakeholders in developing sustainable and inclusive international mobility strategies.
• Enhancing cooperation between educational institutions, companies, policymakers, and local communities.
• Promoting innovation and excellence in VET through transnational collaboration and exchange of best practices.
• Encouraging the development of practical, learner-centred, and competence-based educational approaches.
• Improving access to international mobility opportunities for learners with fewer opportunities.
• Supporting the green and digital transition through modern vocational education methodologies and mobility experiences.
• Fostering intercultural understanding, active participation, and professional growth among VET learners and educators.
• Strengthening European cooperation in vocational education to better respond to evolving labour market demands.
