Turkic Game Jam 2026 brought together the next generation of game developers across six countries

MeOut Group supported an international 48-hour innovation challenge connecting young gaming talent from across Hungary, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, and Northern Cyprus

On 5-6 June 2026, Turkic Game Jam 2026 brought together aspiring game developers, designers, and innovators from across Hungary, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, and Northern Cyprus for an intensive 48-hour game development challenge.

As a proud partner of the initiative, MeOut Group joined ecosystem leaders, industry professionals, and community partners in supporting one of the region’s most exciting youth innovation events, designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship through game development.

Hosted simultaneously in Hungary, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, and Northern Cyprus, the event challenged participants to transform ideas into playable game prototypes within just two days.

A platform for creativity, innovation, and international collaboration

The competition followed a multi-stage format designed to identify and support emerging gaming talent.

How the competition works

• Participants compete in a national 48-hour game jam
• Teams develop a playable game prototype
• The top two teams from each participating country advance to the next stage
• Selected teams continue developing their projects into demo versions
• Finalists present their games at the Grand Finale in Budapest
• Teams compete for prizes, visibility, and investment opportunities

By combining creativity, technology, and entrepreneurship, the programme offers young developers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while connecting with peers and industry experts from across multiple countries.

Budapest hosted the Hungarian edition

The Hungarian edition took place at Graphisoft Park in Budapest, where participants were welcomed by ecosystem leaders including Kanat Ydyrys, Dávid Balló, President of the Hungarian Game Developers Association, and Carlos Cordeiro, Founder and Managing Director of STRATLY.

Throughout the weekend, teams collaborated intensively to design, build, and test original game concepts under tight deadlines, demonstrating creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

For MeOut, supporting initiatives that empower young innovators remains a core priority. Events such as Turkic Game Jam provide participants with practical opportunities to experiment, learn, and transform ideas into tangible projects.

Industry insights from international experts

One of the highlights of the programme was the participation of Jack Mardack, who travelled from San Diego, California, to meet participants and share insights from his entrepreneurial journey.

His session provided valuable perspectives on innovation, startup growth, and building technology companies in an increasingly global environment.

Celebrating the winners

🏆 Congratulations to Meep Games, which secured first place at Turkic Game Jam 2026.

The winning team impressed the jury with its creativity, execution, and innovation throughout the competition.

As part of their achievement, the team received:

• The MeOut Grand Prize Package worth 300,000 HUF

• The opportunity to present their project at the MeOut Summit powered by EU-Startups in Budapest this November
