The Training Laboratory is an international training course dedicated to exploring key competences for non-formal education. Hosted in Hungary from 3–11 November, this program brought together participants from several countries. The initiative gathered educators, youth workers, and peer trainers to strengthen youth empowerment and active participation through creative and inclusive learning approaches.
The Training Laboratory focuses on enhancing educational competences essential for planning and delivering civic education workshops, training sessions, and youth activities. Participants explored the fundamentals of non-formal civic education, learning how it fosters active civic participation, inclusion, and intercultural dialogue.
This Erasmus+ training in Hungary follows a learning-by-doing methodology. Participants had the opportunity to design and test educational materials, exchange experiences, and engage in peer-to-peer learning. The program also promoted international cooperation and cross-country collaboration, enabling educators to build networks and develop future partnerships across Europe.
Upon completion, all participants will receive a Youthpass certificate, formally recognizing their learning outcomes and competences developed during the Training Laboratory. This certification supports participants’ personal and professional growth, validating their achievements in non-formal education and lifelong learning.
The Training Laboratory strengthens the capacity of educators and trainers to shape a new generation of engaged, responsible, and active young citizens. By investing in non-formal education, international collaboration, and lifelong learning recognition, the project contributes to stronger communities, improved youth participation, and a more inclusive Europe.
