People interested in developing new skills and gaining experience in non-formal education, motivated to participate actively in the youth exchange. We expect youngsters to be willing to collaborate and be prepared before the Exchange and attending all meetings related with the Project.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The main aim of “Be Cyclist Friendly” youth exchange is to raise awareness and create space for learning and sharing experiences among youngsters coming from Spain, Hungary, Croatia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine. During this project youngsters will discuss and raise awareness on inter-cultural understanding, protective environment, healthy lifestyle. We will be using social media tools to promote this project among wide audience, by sharing stories, videos and pictures. 

OBJECTIVE OF THE EXCHANGE “BE CYCLIST FRIENDLY”

The objectives we will try to achieve are as follows: 
1. Fostering mutual understanding and inter- cultural learning, thus minimizing stereotypes and prejudices 
2. Learning blogging, graphical designing, video and poster production 
3. Raising awareness on environmental issue 
4. Empowering participants with knowledge and competencies to actively take part in society 
5. Experience education through non-formal methods 
6. To promote Erasmus+ programme opportunities that participants can use in their future 
The main needs that are addressed in this project are: Intercultural understanding among young people in europe, raising tolerance 
and solidarity, using new methods and tools for sharing the information and learning, promoting healthy lifestyle, learning about 
protecting our environment, enhancing life skills and competences among young people to support growth and innovation for the future of european community.

WORKING METHODS

Groups of 6 participants plus one group leader will be representing partner country. Project will be organized during july 2017 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The daily programe is designed for 7 working days plus 2 travel days. Using non-formal education methods we will 
offer participants wide variety of interactive workshops, presentations and discussions. 
As an outcome of our project we expect that participants will use the new skills and competences to increase their intercultural sensitivity, become more tolerant and respectful toward other European cultures and become more active in their communities and organizations, make choices for healthy lifestyle and become active in protecting the environment. 
The working methods will include: 
– cultural animation (ice-breaking games and energizers), 
– team-building activities, 
– exchange of experiences, 
– presentations by both participants and guests, 
– practical workshop on refurbishing bikes 
– practical workshop on decorating your bicycle 
– discussion platforms, 
– non-formal education activities (including learning-by-doing activities and creative exercises such as simulation games and 
creative thinking activities), 
– cultural activities, 
– new media skills 
– on-going evaluation. 
For the long run perspective , the project will have a long term impact on locally and internationally on personal and organizational level in partner countries by multiplying effect of educating young people with ‘pass it on’ strategy. The learning outcome of the 
project will be an increased knowledge and experience of young people in using new media tools for intercultural dialogue and promotion of European values and Erasmus+ programme.

Health insurance is not provided by the organizers and will not be reimbursed. All participants are required to purchase health insurance individually.

Financial matters:
¬ Accommodation, food, local transportation during the activity days, materials for activities are totally covered by the grant of the Erasmus+ Program.

¬ Travelling from your country to the project venue will be reimbursed till a maximum of 270 euro as calculated with the distance tool. Taxi invoices are not accepted.
¬ Important: keep all the invoices and boarding passes.

ACCOMODATION

You will stay in the Royal in Baku, the training room is also located in the hotel. For pictures and informationplease visit http://www.royalhotel.az
There will be Wi-Fi provided at the hotel but please note that using internet during the sessions will be prohibited.
There is a participation fee of 30 € per participant which ensures a better quality of the lodgement (4 star hotel), variety at the restaurants, excursions along with some other museums and same activities in Caspian beach.

Travel (flights, other means of transport) expenses are compensated (up to 100%), based on the actual expenses incurred and the distance from your location of residence to the location of the project (Baku, Azerbaijan). In the case of Hungary the available sum is €270/participant.
You will be reimbursed with 100% of your travel costs up to 270 euro. Reimbursement of travel costs will only be done upon full attendance in the training program and presentation of the original tickets with boarding passes and receipt/invoices. Remember that you can travel only with the cheapest means of transport (2nd class trains, economy class in the planes).

CURRENCY

The domestic currency is the AZN (Azerbaijani New Manat), which is about 1.80 to the Euro. There are many ATM’s and money-changers throughout the town, most will accept Visa and Master Card.

VISA

Participants have to apply for telectronic visa at least 3 (three) working days before their planned date of arrival in the Republic of Azerbaijan from the Portal – https://evisa.gov.az/en/
The e-Visa is issued within 3 (three) working days. The fee for the e-Visa is paid electronically via the system. The e-Visa is sent to the e-mail address of an applicant. You can get the e-visa in just 3 steps (apply, pay and download e-Visa) via the Portal. Participants can apply directly through the portal for a single-entry visa valid for 30 days stay in the country.
The expiry date of the participant’s passport or other travel document should be at least 3 (three) months later than the expiry date of e-Visa.

IMPORTANT NOTE: EACH PARTICIPANT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS/HER VISA PROCESS. HOSTING ORGANIZATION WILL NOT APPLY E-VISA FOR EACH PARTICIPANT. PLEASE, TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION. IF YOU WILL HAVE ANY PROBLEMS OR QUESTIONS YOU CAN WRITE TO HOSTING ORGANIZATION.

DIETARY/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Please inform us ASAP if you have any dietary requirements or special dietary requests. If you have any allergies, please also let us know and don’t forget to bring your own medicines.
INTERCULTURAL EVENING
During the exchange, one evening will be set aside as an intercultural evening where participants areencouraged to share their culture, beliefs and traditions.
Each country will be allocated a space to give a presentation, show pictures or videos of the area/country they live in. It would also be nice if you could share materials about your project and the things you do. There is also an opportunity to share food and drink, so please bring with you some traditional food and drinks which are typical of your area, for people to try, it is also possible to share your music or material culture if possible.
